Being the Director of Laxmi Institute of Engineering, what is your philosophy of leadership and describe your leadership style?

“To enhance students' knowledge, inspire staff and result in fulfillment of vision”

As the director of Laxmi Institute of Technology, my primary responsibility is to explore and enhance the lives of the students. In accordance with that, I manage my staff to empower them to be the assets. I have a certain vision in mind for the college. I am inspiring my staff and assisting them in realizing their objectives for the institute results in the fulfillment of my vision.


How does the curriculum of Laxmi Institute of Engineering ensure the best practice of industry?

“Provide seminars, and workshops as per the industry demand on campus”

Each and every program's curriculum is designed in a manner that can accommodate most recent trends in different industries. In addition to the university curriculum, we designed workshops and seminars for our students. It helps to match the demands of the industry at the time.


What would you like people to know about your college they may not know?

“Hands-on training, well-equipped classes and laboratories are available to students”

Infrastructure plays a large role in building and curating a successful learner. It provides all the basic aspects required for a student to experience hands-on training with the knowledge gained in the classroom. I would like everyone to know that in a remote location like Sarigam- Umbergaon region, having an engineering college surrounded with 120 acres of lush-green, pollution-free serene environment. Our campus has a huge infrastructure to support the dreams of budding engineers. We have well-equipped classrooms and state of the arts laboratories. Hostel with mess facilities, Gym and swimming pool for healthy lifestyle, DHWANI auditorium with large occupancy are provided to pupils. With these kinds of modern facilities available at doorstep, students do not need to hustle to receive quality education.

What do you see as Laxmi Institute of Engineering’s greatest strength?

A dynamic learning environment at Laxmi Institute of Technology Sarigam focuses a specific emphasis on experiential learning and outcome-based education. It allows students to grow into strong engineers. The academic activities are focused on assisting the students in developing a solid theoretical knowledge base and practical abilities to put that knowledge into practice. Additionally,there is ample scope for extracurricular and co-curricular activities where students are encouraged to showcase their talents. We make sure that they demonstrate that they are highly skilled engineers but also excellent citizens of our nation. These I can see as the greatest strength of us.


Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Upgrade your skills and strive in a competitive world”

As budding engineers and professionals, I would like to tell them two things. Firstly, always keep your skills upgraded. That’s the only way to strive in this competitive world. And secondly, always thrive in adversity.


How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your Institute?

“Always communicate with each other on all activities on campus”

A healthy relationship and environment in an institute only happen when the whole system functions as a well-oiled machine. It happens when there’s no communication gap between different sections and departments. We ensure that everything is completed on schedule and also keeps a positive environment throughout.


Have you introduced any new programs at college and give us a brief highlight of the same?

“B.Voc, and D.Voc courses are the latest programs in the campus for pupils”

Recently, we have introduced programs like B.voc, D.Voc, courses like draftsmanship, electrician. Students also get short- term courses like KARMA in our institute. All the above programs saw a good response with students for admission in the current academic year.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

“Foreign university courses and other certification programs are provided to students”

We have recently launched a center of excellence in our institute. It is a SAP Center initiative for Deep Tech powered by edunet foundation in association with SAP, Amul (The Taste of India), LT Larsen and Toubro launched among much enthusiasm. The objectives of this program is to skill young graduates in deep- tech platform technologies and establish industry pathways to drive their employability. It offers capacity building and fellowship programs for faculty members. Apart from that, we have Industry-academia collaboration to skill development with BOSCH that help students to be industry-ready. We encourage them to gain extra knowledge by registering for NPTEL courses. They get certified on successful completion and clearing the exams. Students have registered for the foreign university courses available at COURSERA and get certified. They are also encouraged to participate and manage events like TEDx, EKATRA (Tech-Fest), ECHO talk, etc.


What are the placement statistics of your Institute?

“Achieved 100% placement in 2020-21, and 2021-22 academic years on campus”

We have a dedicated placement team that designed a special training curriculum for the students. They are trained from 2 nd year onwards. Due to the excellent support of all the staff, we achieved 100% placement in the year 2020-21, and 2021-22. With the hard work of students, they bagged opportunities in MNCs like CAPGEMINI, TCS, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, WESTERN REFRIGERATION, TORRENT POWER, STERLITE POWER, TECH MAHINDRA etc.
