kclasThe first College Committee Meeting was held at KCLAS. The purpose of the meeting was a discussion on enhancing the depth and breadth of current programs and new initiatives to be taken. Deliberations for new programs were also discussed for the year 2019.

Faculty members of KCLAS had an opportunity to deliberate, recalibrate and get enlightened about the academic journey envisioned for the upcoming academic year in the form of MICRO FDP organized on August 11, 2018. The event was facilitated by eminent professors from KCT Business School Dr. Poongodi.B, Assistant Professor-Marketing, and Dr. P. Nalini, Assistant Professor, Marketing. The event commenced with the self-introduction of KCLAS Faculty team. The facilitators emphasized the importance of Annual Academic Planning and how it acts as a guideline for achieving institutional as well as individual targets. The facilitators shared their valuable experiences gained during their stint as Assistant Professors in KCT Business School.

“Your Net worth is determined by your Network" - True to the above adage, the facilitators urged the importance of connecting with the Academic peer group and establishing industry-academia interface. The obstacles and inhibitions faced by the facilitators during the initial stages of their academic career were shared to the team. The facilitators instilled confidence and team spirit to the KCLAS faculty team. The event also focused on the role of Academicians as Consultants for the industry bodies. Overall, the first Micro FDP conducted to the KCLAS faculty team served as an eye opener and reaffirmed the roles and responsibilities assigned to each and every faculty member.
