Amitav Singh is a Faculty Associate of the Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Siliguri. He did a Master's degree focused on Sports Science from Nagpur University and was certified by the International Olympic Committee in Professional Sports Management. He specializes in Yoga, Martial Arts, Basketball, and Swimming. He received a sports excellence award at 61st International Physical Education and Training camp. 

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Ensure high-quality teaching and assess works for students”

It is necessary to design and develop curricula for students to take an innovative approach. A range of teaching programs is delivered to students. We ensure the quality teaching assurance framework of the college. Moreover, counseling and assessments are available for students at the time of admission. We set examinations and work for the progress of pupils. 

How do you bring a practical approach to subjects?

“Promote and develop team spirit with the educational standards”

We develop, implement and coordinate college research strategies. It leads to supervising student projects and ensuring field trips. We promote and develop team spirit and team coherence. It ensures teaching design and methods with the educational standards and regulations of the department.

What are the practices offered to students in Inspiria Knowledge Campus?

“Internships, skill-based certifications, and industry exposure are provided to pupils”

Various skill-based certifications from certified platforms like Udemy, Coursera, available for students. Moreover, the internship opportunities at renowned clubs and management firms provide industry exposure during the course period. Huge sporting events like Hero I League (Football event), IPL, ISL, and other premier leagues are conducted inside the campus. How do you help a student to handle outside competition?

“Regular counselling, business communication, and soft skills training are provided for students”

We have a mentorship program that gives regular counseling to students. It teaches them how to deal with different people, and cope up with the situation. This improves by evaluating their academic performance. We have a franchise called Toastmaster International running in college to enhance students' communication skills. Moreover, we have compulsory business communication and soft skills training on an everyday basis.
