What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
“To train them to be successful in their future”
I have been assisting in teaching and preparing content and simplifying it for students to understand. I try to understand students' grievances and taking appropriate measures in that regard. I try to keep the students and parents informed about their monthly progress. Major responsibility as a faculty is to train the students to be good professionals and human beings too.
How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?
“Self-learning processes enable students to have a broader and deeper understanding”
Apart from demonstrations and workshops conducted as a part of studios which give students insights into the professional life, students are made to do market research instead of providing them with available data. They are also encouraged to apply the knowledge gained to find out solutions to existing problems with the help of faculties guidance instead of delivering the solutions directly.
What are the best practices offered by the department to the students to gain necessary skills?
“The curriculum ensures the students get maximum industry exposure”
Subjects like Electives and College projects give liberty to the colleges to choose activities and subjects of interest for every semester. This is what brings the difference. Students are exposed to various allied fields of the industry with help of collaborations with architects working in these fields through workshops, seminars, site visits. Students get to intern with these organizations thereby acquiring practical knowledge and necessary skills. The participation and interaction with industry professionals being a part of our college curriculum ensure that students get maximum industry exposure.

How does your department prepare students for Higher education?
“The college gives opportunities to students to expand their ideas and skill sets”
The college has conducted guided seminars for students interested in pursuing higher education abroad by inviting resource persons who have been alumni of various foreign universities to help our students understand future career prospects
How does the curriculum of your department ensure the best practice of the industry?
“The curriculum is very well structured and quite ‘learner centric’”
The curriculum is so designed that it is inclusive and helps students acquire knowledge and skills and are capable and competent in professional fields. It is simplified enough for students to understand concepts with practical learnings. It also encourages them to attend webinars, take up internships, to participate in various competitions & workshops for developing necessary skills. There are student-teacher reviews every semester.
What are the approaches you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students?
“We try to train students with practical concepts”
Apart from the curriculum, which has a more practical approach, changing communication strategies, holding reviews is beneficial. It is also important to train students in solving problems through a lot more humanitarian approach.

What do you see as the college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?
“The relation between students and faculty members”
I think it is the liberty with which every faculty can design their subject teaching program according to their and student’s comfort and understanding level which makes delivering the content to students easier and students can bond well with each other and the faculties.
