We are offering the B. Sc. Course to students in the discipline of Interior Designing and Decoration. Under this course, we teach our students how to build and study layouts of residential as well as commercial spaces. Along with that we train them to use latest softwares like CAD, 3DS Max etc to gain practical knowledge. In addition to this, we educate them about the estimation concepts in terms of budget and client expectations.

We are offering both practical and theoretical knowledge to students and also helping them in applying that knowledge to understand the subject better. The basic objective of this practice is to make them industry ready by enhacing their skills, knowledge and personality.

How did you train your faculty to deliver this program to the students in the best possible way?

"We upgrade their skills through FDPs and certification courses as and when required"

We make sure that the faculties remain up-to-date with the latest concepts like modern interiors etc. And we conduct appropriate training programs and provide them certification courses as for the same. We also have a mentorship program where we allot a faculty to give guidance and knowledge to each student throughout the course duration.


How do you build an industry connectedness with this program? 

"By organizing field and industrial visits on a regular basis along with giving them real time projects"

We conduct industrial and field visits regularly to make our students aware about how things, processes and people work together in industrial world to achieve a common goal. As our college has a good relationship with reputed industries, so ensuring good placement opportunities for students has never been a problem.


What challenges have you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

"Convincing students about the course benefits, career scope and then setting infrastructure for it were major hurdles"

As this is completely a new course, so making this course popular among students was a challenging task for us as the college is known for other courses. In addition to convincing students about the course benefits, encouraging them to apply for the program and setting up two new labs (Computer Lab and Drafting Lab) were real roadblocks for us.


On which kind of projects students are currently working under this course?

"Our students are working on real time industry projects in the discipline of Interior Designing"

Our students are presently working on real time industry Interior Designing projects in both the residential as well as the commercial spaces. These projects are beneficial for overall development of students as they get to learn so many things.
