Dr. Prasanna Sivanandam is the Dean at the Saveetha School of Management, Chennai. She has completed her MBA, and Ph.D and has been working at various capacity’s in different B schools and Engineering Colleges. With over 26 years of experiance which includes organizing workshops on Stress Management, Time Management, Assertiveness, Parenting for employees connected with various companies such as Cognizant Technologies, Wipro,and Ford, etc. Her books named “Principles of Management; Managing men” captures knowledge about concepts of management and HR. She has also presented various papers at National and International Conferences and was awarded as “Outstanding Research Scholar” from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development. She has also received Excellence Award for Dean from GMRF, and Best Leader award this year from Nehru Yuva Kendra Government of India for sports.

What are roles and responsibilities?

My duty is to enrich good outcomes in the campus environment. I always give the best education quality among students. We accept meritorious students irrespective of their backgrounds.


What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“To up-skill the latest trends in education and my passion for teaching”

I have been associated with the education sector about 26 years after completing my Ph.D. Some main factors connecting me with the education sector are teaching passion and latest trends in education. My belief is teaching through fun and innovation. We increase connectivity with students through various sessions in classrooms. 


What is your leadership philosophy?

“To work with compassion, commitment and a creative mind is best for a leader”

I always follow a participative leadership style and make sure to provide a conducive environment on campus. My philosophy of leadership is to work with compassion, commitment and a creative mind. We give full autonomy for faculties to formulate innovative methods in classes. 


How do you strategize the key plans for marketing and administration of campus?

“Facilitate training activities, and placements for all pupils on campus”

Our campus is famous for placement records each year. We provide training activities and smooth placements inside campus. Most of the students get placed in both national and international companies. Some of the companies include Infosys, India Cements, BNP Paribas, Accenture, HDFC, IBM, HCL, Royal Bank of Scotland, L&T, Wipro, Yes bank, SIMS, Just dial, ICICI, Billroth, Byju’s, etc. Pupils are hired with lucrative packages on various MNCs.

“Make students ready to face any management problems and work for their betterment”

Our campus standard focuses on betterment of students is the primary vision. We impart case study methods that are beneficial for facing any management problems by students. Most of our students get placed in reputed organizations and they get some experience through the MBA program.
