Having an academic experience of a decade and spending a considerable amount of time in the management, she brings both the learnings together to provide a pragmatic learning experience for the students. What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“It is pivotal that the institution moves towards continuous improvement”

The role of the Coordinating Head of SILS is to provide leadership, direction, and coordination within the school. The main focus is always to develop and maintain effective educational programs within the school and promote teaching and learning with school. Also helps in assessing teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage parent involvement.


How do you plan activities and programs to enhance the skills of the students?

“We ensure students are prepared for their future”

I ensure that SILS allows both faculty and students to put learning at the center of their daily activities. I assure that every student of the department leads a prospective future in his/ her life. I support teachers, students, and parents to be enthusiastic in all fields. 


What is your strategy to make your course different from the courses in other institutions?

“We allow students to explore different verticals”

School of interdisciplinary & Liberal Studies is itself a new and innovative school running in Suresh Gyan Vihar University. In this school, the students are free to take subjects of their own. Subject boundation is not in our SILS. We are here to impart infinite knowledge without boundaries.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

“Depending upon the specialization, students have their projects”

In SILS as we are having a wide range of Subjects economics, English, Journalism, Mass media, Political science, Psychology, History, Journalism, International Relations, Politics & Society, Anthropology, etc. The students are having different types of projects according to their subject specialization. 


What according to you should be the top priority of SGVU for the next 5 years?

“SVG is well established and a hub of infinite knowledge for all the knowledge-driven students”

For the next five years, the top priority of SGVU is to ensure that the standards it is having should have the same consistency with the additional enhancement of the latest technology. SVG has universally proven that no one can beat us in Education, Technology, and Humanity.


What are the greatest strengths of SILS at SGVU?

“The greatest strength of SILS is its students and faculties”

The faculties proved that despite any challenges, they are there for students 27 X 7. The students also demonstrated the same by showing excellent results and participation in all activitiesApart from that, we also have the Industrial mentor coordination where our Alumni and industrial expert are in constant touch with students for guidance in the decision-making stage of a career in student life.


What is your approach to make a healthy environment for your students?

“We make sure to maintain a healthy environment in our campus”

We focus on the premises' education ambiance. It is possible due to the healthy relationship between the faculties and students. For the same, the university opted for the personal tutor system. Here, faculties are assigned with few students who always keep an eye on students' academic performance, sort out any discrepancy, and regularly contact parents via parent-teacher meetings or call to make the student succeed and good citizen by colligating structure.


What are the major challenges that students face at SILS?

“Challenges are a part of learning”

As such, no challenge word sustains in SILS students' lives, and day-to-day issues can be resolved at his level by using the presence of mind. In college life, we create a positive attitude to deal with these. The only challenge is to manage the opportunities that regularly come with more attractive offers and incentives.

What is the future scope of this course from your institution?

“The students are prepared for the transformations which will take place in the near future”

Presently, the era is taking a turning point because of the surplus of technical and medical students, the general degree students, and its craze is making a comeback. The present situation needs SILS students at every phase, teachers, social entrepreneurship, economists, psychologists, Counselor, Anthropologist, and lots more. High time to grab the market and even story writer, bloggers, lawyers, journalist presently forms the panel of expert advice for the upliftment of a nation


What advice would you like to give to the students pursuing higher education?

“Higher education allows you to pursue a career that interests and inspires you”

When you have the freedom to choose your career, you're more likely to enjoy it. Higher job satisfaction also comes from higher income, better employment benefits, and more advancement opportunities.
