Did you avail of any benefit of reservation?
Arvind: EWS (Economically Weaker Section).
Describe the general setting of WAT/ GD (if any)?
Arvind: WAT was online mode. There was an online portal where I had to write an essay out of 6 topics in 30 minutes. The topics included Gender issues, economic liberalization, farm laws, polity, and constitution.
Tips: To excel in WAT practice writing under a time crunch and read a lot of books and literary stuff
GD was awesome, it went well for me. It was in online mode. There were 3-panel members for me with 11 candidates including me. We were given a topic and asked to debate on it. At first, it turned into a fish market, but I stepped in as the mediator and calmed the situation down. The panel appreciated my efforts in stopping the chaos. Each of us was given 2 minutes to say our points, and I utilized well the 2 minutes’ time by explaining the topic and my approach to the problem in full detail. Tips for aspirants be confident and do not to fear to speak up.
Describe the general setting of your interview?
Arvind: The interview went well, there were 4 members, one was from the corporate industry the rest 3 were from the SIDTM faculty. It was conducted in online mode in ZOOM. The interview went around 25 minutes. They asked me about my work-ex, my academics, and my extracurricular activities. Tips for aspirants are to be honest about what you have done, do not be overconfident or nervous. Ask questions to the interviewer so that you can make the conversation interesting.
