Prof. [Dr.] Tirthankar Datta is currently working as Principal at Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Kolkata. He has a vast experience of more than 24 years in administration, teaching & mentoring, management, branding and networking in academic as well as the corporate world. Besides serving as the coordinator of World Bank Project TEQIP-II, Dr. Datta has a well-known reputation of holding various significant positions in a number of associations and engineering colleges.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

A leadership philosophy is principally a trust system that guides our decision-making and perspectives to achieve a common goal. It consists of core principles and values that clearly and concisely help to do specific tasks in an organization. Motivation, delegation of power, trustworthiness, management, positivity, creativity, responsibility, empathy, and flexibility etc. are important among the team members to achieve the final goal.

Here, we give maximum importance to in-depth studies in IT and its related fields. Along with ultra-modern infrastructure and good technical layout, we regularly arrange to impart value added and skill enhancement training sessions based on the latest technologies to make our students industry ready. Domain knowledge training program, Micro and innovative projects to inculcate research, technical fest, technical quizzes, etc. are organized to prepare them for the competitive world.
