What is your philosophy of leadership?

“A leadership philosophy is a structured approach to leading others”

Leaders must have a vision and articulate it clearly to provide direction for the group they serve. Effective leaders are transparent in nature and act in a fair and just manner through discussion and collaboration. Leaders must share responsibility for attaining goals and also acknowledge their weaknesses and continually seek ways to improve their leadership skills. Efficient leaders communicate in a timely manner and listen to the concerns and ideas of the group holding them up to a high ethical standard.

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Strong leadership and management approaches for their development”

I take primary responsibility to support all students through a well-rounded quality and outcome based education that prepares them for successful futures. I continually try to facilitate changes to push the performance levels of students to higher standards for better opportunities in future. I keep a check on the development of academic and research standings of the institution for knowledge transfer and boosting their skills. Students’ personal issues are also discussed, and a proper guidance and support is provided to ensure the comfort of students in the campus.

What are the best practices offered to help students gain necessary skills?

“Reformed teaching learning process and facilitated activities and projects”

Different pedagogies have been adopted to meet the needs of all students in the classroom and inculcate necessary skills in them. We follow outcome based education pedagogy by developing course plans with objectives and outcomes where the learning styles of the students are evaluated through a learning style test. Curriculum gaps are plugged through design based experiments, additional labs and evaluated systematically through different assessment tools. PPTs, Videos, OHPs and short seminars are being used that results in easy understanding of the concepts by students. Project based learning and Technical quiz are organized regularly to get in-depth knowledge in subjects.
