What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Looking out for every member associated with proper guidance”

According to me, the philosophy of leadership is that leaders do not tell what to do, they tell you how to do it. This is the key face of the education system at Indira College of Engineering and Management. We make students ready for the industry with the necessary leadership qualities.


How does the curriculum of “Indira College of Engineering and Management '' ensure the best practice of the industry?

“Maximum interaction with industry professionals”

The curriculum of Indira College of Engineering and Management ensures the best practice by industry visits and internships during the summer or winter breaks. Industry-sponsored projects are supported at Indira College of Engineering and Management. Industry guest lectures to inform students about recent technology are a regular practice at our institution.


Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“Special scholarship programs so that no one is deprived of education”

All types of students are welcomed at Indira College of Engineering and Management. The students from rural backgrounds are provided special training on arrival at college to develop communication skills and leadership qualities. The college also organizes a bridge course which aims to help these students to clear their basic concepts essential for complex engineering courses. The college also offers the special Indira scholarship to the needy and talented students. It motivates the students to complete their education.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

“Students encouraged to actively participate in social service activities”

Indira College of Engineering and Management has adopted the NSS – National Service scheme, where the students are given social responsibility. The college has adopted a nearby village where the students worked for 15 days helping the rural people. Apart from this, there are various blood donation drives at the college and rural cleaning campaigns are also conducted. There are several student associations active in art and social programs. The goal of the college is to develop all-rounder engineers.


What are the biggest challenges for higher studies, particularly for “Indira College of Engineering and Management”?

“Equipping the students with more and more real-life skills”

The major challenge for higher studies, in general, is to develop real ground skills in students as they are the most important skills in the long run. Staying up to date with the changing industry is important as it increases the chances of placement. 


Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Be passionate towards your work and compassionate to others”

The suggestions to youth are that they should join engineering and management courses with passion. They should be ready to work on the shop floor and at ground level with human beings. If they follow these points, they will surely be successful. Engineering will change their attitude and point of view positively.
