Being part of the top management of the college, what is your philosophy of leadership?

“A down to earth personality & humble approach towards colleagues”

I perceive myself as a democratic open-minded leader. Leadership is a team-building exercise which includes working towards the achievement of a common goal along with the personal growth of every team member. A leader should be accommodative, understanding, and should be able to motivate his/her team members by identifying certain pertinent skills in each member.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for creating awareness?

“Utilization of the digital platforms & awareness programs regarding our courses”

Designing and emphasizing on Skill-based courses with practical knowledge, taking stakeholder’s feedback into consideration for improvement of the courses, organising awareness programs about the scope of programs at school and higher secondary level are few steps taken by us. Making use of social media for marketing has also helped us to a great extent.

How does the curriculum of the College ensure the best practice of industry?

“A more skill-based curriculum for academic as well as social growth of the student”

The institution tries to fill the gap that exists between ‘curriculum and industry needs’ by conducting various skill-based certificate Courses, providing internship opportunities to student fraternity to give them first-hand experience, organizing field trips, extracurricular activities to develop participation, presentation, and organizing skills. Also by involving students in outreach and extension activities the institution tries to inculcate social responsibility.

What do you see as College’s greatest strengths?

“A collaborative environment created by harmonious relations between students & teachers”

A healthy Student-Teacher relation is one of the main strengths of this College. Students are very close to their teachers and share their grievances which helps in enriching their learning experience.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for your college specifically?

“To move ahead of the stereotypical thinking of a normal job & become an entrepreneur”

Students are attracted to white-collar jobs, mainly government jobs. Motivating students for self-employment (Atmanirbhar) is the need of the hour. Secondly, they are attracted to social media and an easy life. It will be a big challenge to make them realize the ground realities.
