According to reports, NTA results would be used to determine admission to seven UG degrees provided by Assam University. Admission to TDC programmes in Assam University's affiliated colleges, on the other hand, would continue as usual.
Students wishing to enrol in TDC courses at affiliated colleges will not be required to take the CUET. Admission to PG courses at Assam University would also be exempt from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
UGC Chairman, Jagadesh Kumar, stated on Tuesday that the CUET will neither make board exams irrelevant nor will it promote a "coaching culture." He stated that the CUET will place less emphasis on getting 100% marks.
Assam University Admission 2022
Students from all boards will be able to compete in a fair system at CUET. The number of students who score 98% but do not get into college would be decreased, according to the UGC Chairman.
The test will be entirely focused on the class 12 curriculum. According to NTA, the CUET would give students seeking admission to any central university in the country a single-window opportunity. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode.
A letter was also issued to the vice-chancellors of all universities and college principals, asking them to accept CUET scores for admission, so that all institutions use a single platform rather than several examinations.
The UGC wants institutions to “register themselves on the portal and prominently display on their website that students will get admission on the basis of the CUET score”.
