Assam Board Class 10 General Science Exam Postponed

New Delhi: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has cancelled Class 10 general science examination, which was supposed to take place today, March 13. Due to the media allegations of the question paper being leaked, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or matric exam for the general science paper has been cancelled by the board.

However, the new deadline for the general science paper for the HSLC 2023 will be revealed by the Assam board. In a statement released on Sunday, March 12, SEBA claimed that claims made on social media that handwritten sample test questions for the general science class 10 subject had been distributed could have caused confusion.

Adding that the board has opened an investigation into this matter and will take all the necessary action in this regard, SEBA stated that a handwritten model question paper of HSLC exam of general science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 13, 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidate and it is also spread in the social media.

The SEBA statement revealed that the board authorities have a belief that the news leak of the question paper might create confusion amongst the students' mind as the general science (c3) subject was scheduled to be held on March 13, 2023.

The Assam board Class 10 exams were supposed to begin on March 3 and conclude by March 20.This year, the Assam board HSLC exams are about to take by 4,22,174 students, while the matric exams are being administered at 912 locations throughout the state.

The board has previously cancelled the English exam due to the allegations of fraudulent exam practises by the students at Cachar's JR Ucchotor Madhyamik Vidyalaya Gonirgram Higher Secondary examination centre.
