Applicants must possess a NQF level 8 honours primary degree at 2.2 honours level where the holder is required to have studied at least one business subject (Accounting, Business or Economics), representing at least 60 ECTS credits in that subject and 60 ECTS credits in any additional subject (with a minimum 10 ECTS credits undertaken in one?s final years of study in any subject.?? These 60 ECTS credits in any one subject must conform to the Teaching Council ?Subject Declaration Form? in that subject in order to eventually secure Teaching Council recognition to teach in that subject.? The onus is on the individual applicant to ensure that he/she meets the requirements of the ?Subject Declaration Form?.
- To provide graduates with a professional qualification for the teaching of Business, Accounting, Economics Business Studies, Enterprise Education and Applied Business courses (dependent on Teaching Council eligibility) all with a strong ICT component.
- To develop students' personal and practical skills to advanced competency.
- To enable students develop, synergise and innovate appropriate business teaching strategies.
- To empower students to develop and utilise broad evaluation and assessment strategies and thereby become effective facilitators of learning
