Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Film Studies] From National University of Ireland, Galway

Four subjects, including your specialism, Film Studies, are taken in First Arts from the 20 subjects on offer. Subjects are organised in seven timetable groups and not more than one subject may be taken from any one group. The specialism Film Studies will be delivered in the timetable of Arts subject Group Two, and may, therefore, not be studied together with the subjects Legal Studies, Psychology/ Psychological Studies or Celtic Civilisation.

The BA with Film Studies will be of interest to a broad range of students in the humanities and social sciences field, enhancing and complementing issues in other subjects, including History, Geography, Sociological and Political Studies, and English. The knowledge and skills acquired provide solid grounds for further study at graduate level and are relevant to a range of career options, including education, arts journalism and the broadcast media.
