My college ended in July 2020 and from then I am looking forward to jobs, interviews and internships because of the pandemic I didn?t get many jobs or anything. I started volunteering jobs for Dublin City Council. I have a lot of knowledge that I gained from college and I did a lot of extracurricular courses from the internet like Google Digital, Marketing, Google Ads, Google Analytics SEO, etc. but I didn?t get a chance to apply that knowledge into experience in Dublin. I had job experience from India. I was working in Glued company in Delhi. I started there as an intern and then I got a digital marketing job there. I did that job for 8 to 10 months then I decided to come to Dublin to study and now I am looking for a job. The Glued guys helped me look for the university. They provided me with the visa application and college applications also. They applied for Griffith, DBS, NUI, La Rochelle. So there were like 4 to 5 colleges from which I chose Griffith and took my course in that college. Before applying you can see what are the critical skills here in Ireland. They mostly prefer engineers or IT background people so you can check that.

Course Curriculum

9

My subjects were digital marketing, global marketing, international strategy and I maintained upper first-class like above 65%. The relevance depends on which course you are doing like what I did, International Business. It covered digital marketing but I didn?t have much idea so there was not the whole aspect of digital marketing but parts of it. To get more knowledge of digital marketing I had to take additional courses from the internet but maybe if I chose a particular college in some other university it would have been more beneficial. There were group projects and study groups. Here in Griffith College exams are in less priority and group projects are given more preference compared to exams. If I compare the university to other Indian universities then they give more importance to projects. They will give you projects for research and group projects so here more weightage is given to projects. So here we have projects where you have to be the CEO and launch a product, we have to start and finish from there. But in India more preference is given to exams like if you get good marks you will be happy so that?s the main difference. In comparison to this college and other colleges in Dublin, I think it is about private universities or public universities but there is not much difference. Little difference can be of exposure but there is not much difference.

Exams

Yes, I did my IELTS. The company helped me achieve it. They got the IELTS classes there only and I took some classes for 1 month or maybe less than a month and I gave my exam and got decent scores. I had an average score of 7.0. Yes, I did submit an SOP and 2 LORs from my bachelor?s college faculty.

Placement

It can be Accenture. There?s good scope for Accenture. The other can be Microsoft but the thing is that their interview process is very hard. The third can be Tik Tok. Usually Tik Tok and Facebook hire a lot of people for content checking. So these are the top 3 or 4 companies.

Internship

No, I didn?t have any internships abroad because I finished my course in 2020 and the pandemic already started in March and I finished my college in July so there were very few chances because of the pandemic. I think it was around 4 months already that everything is under lockdown like level 5 lockdown so it was hard but I did get some volunteering jobs which were not related to my course but I wanted to gain some experience in Ireland.

Faculty

The faculty prefer to have a personal connection with the students. They will repeatedly ask you what you plan to do in the group projects and they will help you in each and every scenario and each and every case whether it is a weekday or weekend. Apart from general holidays, they will always be available for the students on email, call or in the college anytime.

Campus Life

There was a library in the college, a sports ground and canteen which was available most of the time like from 8 in the morning to 6 or 7 at night. From the ID card, we were able to use everything in the college. There are few college groups, 2 sports groups and like facebook groups for Dublin students and Indian students in Dublin so there are around 5-6 groups which I am a part of. I am not a part of the Dublin Student Association but there was this class group that I was a part of. Apart from the class groups, I don?t think there are any groups that I am a part of. There are parties that you can get in. There are even host parties or join parties. Parties are hosted every weekend so you can use the auditorium. If you want to give any presentation even if it is a class presentation you can book the auditorium. It is available on a first come first serve basis. There are sports groups and debate groups that you can be a part of. I was a part of the sports group in which I played table tennis so I know a lot of people there. My friends with whom I started with 2 years back in 2019, now I have moved in with them only last month. So they are good friends that I got here.

I am living off campus. Which is financial good and doesn't take from bank account. I have an advice for all of those who are planning to this university or just came Australia for study is that only came here if you can manage your expenses because working with study doesn't go well.
