IIT-JEE (Indian Institutes of Technology – Joint Entrance Examination) is a national-level entrance exam in India for admission to undergraduate engineering programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian School of Mines Dhanbad and other top engineering institutes in the country. The exam is considered one of the world’s most competitive and challenging undergraduate engineering entrance exams. The exam is typically held in two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is the first stage of the exam, which is open to all candidates, while JEE Advanced is the second stage, which is only available to the top performers in JEE Main.
The exam is conducted by NTA (National testing agency) and held for candidates who are aspiring to pursue a career in the field of engineering and technical studies for entry into various premiere engineering colleges/institutions across India like IITs, IIITs, NITs, BITS, DTU, NSUT, IIT, NIT, Manipal, PEC, Thapar, VIT Vellore, USIT, RVCE, and more institutions.
The process of admission to the above institutions is as follows: JEE comprises two phases JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCE with the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) from 11th and 12th Class.
