Any student having passed 10th grade or any course equivalent to that can apply for the Common Proficiency Course (CPC) first.

• Post-qualifying for the 10+2 exam, a student has to then qualify in CPT exam.
• After having qualified through CPT, the candidate has to pass both the groups in the intermediate level comprising 8 papers.
• On completion of IPCC or either of the groups, the candidate has to go through articles under a Fellow Chartered Accountant for 3 years which will the make the candidate eligible to appear the CA final examination.

That should be the final stage in the process of becoming a qualified chartered accountant.
