The True School of Music

Eligibility:

Level 1 

• A prospective student entering at level 1 needs to show the desire and ability to learn as a musician. This course takes complete beginners at Level 1. Students with prior experience in music production, music theory, or keyboard can do an audition to test out of subjects.
• To prepare for the audition a prospective student will have to prepare a set of pieces on the keyboard, preferably in different styles. Students will also be required to submit links to their production work. From this, we will be able to assess their skill level on their instrument so the student can be placed accordingly.
• Prospective students shall also be assessed on their knowledge of music theory; at level 1 little to no theory knowledge is required, as we will teach you from the very basics.

Level 2

• Students entering at level 2 will need to have either completed successfully level 1 or have developed a portfolio of work and experience that can be assessed at level 2 skills.
• Students will have to prepare a set of pieces on the piano as well as demonstrate sufficient music theory knowledge.

Level 3

• Students entering at level 3 will need to have either completed successfully level 1 and 2 or have developed a portfolio of work and experience that can be assessed at level 3 skills.
• Students will have to prepare a set of pieces at the piano, and demonstrate sufficient knowledge of sound engineering, mixing, mastering, as well in music theory and ear training.
