On August 20, 2017, a pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO) exam will be held at various locations across India. Students must qualify for this centrally administered PRMO in order to be eligible for the RMO. From this year forward, no additional independently administered examinations will be accepted.
The PRMO will be a 30-question machine-correctable test. Each question has an answer, which is a one- or two-digit number. For the benefit of students, sample questions will be posted on this site. This year's pre-RMO exam will be hosted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT), which also hosts the National Standards Examination, which is the first step in competing in the International Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Junior Science Olympiads.
