The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national entrance exam held jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee). Every year in the month of February, it is held. The GATE Score/Rank is required for admission to Master's programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture at IISc, IITs, and other famous Indian Institutes / Universities, as well as financial help. Many public sector organizations (PSUs) use the GATE score to recruit individuals for coveted jobs with lucrative pay packages. BARC, BHEL, IOCL, HPCL, NTPC, Powergrid, NHPC, and others are among the PSUs that employ GATE scores to fill positions.
Hyderabad, Delhi, Bhopal, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Patna, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad offer GATE classroom training.
