"The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration. IELTS assesses all of your English skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking, and is designed to reflect how you will use English at study, at work, and at play, in your new life abroad. IELTS is available in two types – Academic or General Training. You should take IELTS Academic test to study abroad. For taking the IELTS Exam, your minimum age should be at least 16 years & you must have a valid passport. You will be eligible to take the exam if you fall into one of the categories: Planning to study in UK/Australia/Canada/New Zealand/USA. No minimum score is required to pass the test. Texts are taken from books, journals and newspapers., Writing-60 Mnts -Writing task of at least 150 words where the candidate must summarise, describe or explain a table, graph, chart or diagram. Short Essay task of at least 250 words., Speaking- 11 to 14 Mnts -Face to face interview. Includes short questions, speaking at length about a familiar topic and structed discussion."
