The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force. The exam is held twice a year in February and August/September, respectively, to select Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). You should choose Physics and Mathematics as your major subjects, if you have to join the airforce. This is mandatory for all men who wish to become pilots. You have to clear the NDA exam conducted by the UPSC. All Indian nations not above the age of 19 years can give this exam. A new class of Airmen has graduated almost every week for the last 70 years. Every enlisted Airman begins their Air Force career with 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT).
