Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in Classes 1- 8.  There are two CTET papers in the exam, that is, Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who plan to teach Classes 1-5 need to give Paper-I and candidates who plan to teach Classes 6-8 need to take Paper-II. Candidates who plan to teach Classes 1-8 need to take both the papers. CTET certificate is the minimum eligibility for central government teaching job, it is like an added bonus to your profile. After CTET certificates candidates can apply for all Central Government Teaching job as like KVS, NVS Army Teacher, ERDO, etc .It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards, also It  would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process. The Ministry of Human Resource Development,  Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi. It is a 2 months course.
