The Common Law Admission Test, or CLAT, is the primary test for admission to 22 national law universities (NLUs). These colleges administer the test in a rotating fashion. The test is now, however, organized by the Consortium of NLUs as of 2019. Depending on their level of seniority within the institution, NLUs alternately handle the responsibility of administering the test.
