The N2 is the second-to-hardest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). To pass the N2, you will need to know about 1,000 kanji and about 6,000 vocabulary words total.JLPT is not a measure of fluency, it's just an objective score that determines whether you can go to Japanese university or work at a Japanese company. In that case, N2 is sufficient.The JLPT N2 level is considered a landmark achievement for those hoping to use Japanese in their careers.
