Indus Training and Research Institute (ITARI) aims to build 21st Century teachers. The full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Education (International) - PGDE (i) is a pre-service teachers’ professional skill enhancement programme offered in collaboration with the reputed School of Education, Birmingham City University (BCU), UK. PGDE (i) seeks to develop highly skilled teachers who are Committed, Creative and Confident. As leaders of learning, graduates of this course take responsibility for their own professional development, enhancing their excellent subject and sharp pedagogical knowledge. Through reflective practice, graduating teachers take a lead in responding flexibly and proactively to the changes apparent in their professional contexts, communicating effectively with all partners in learning and accepting responsibility for their actions and decisions. The leadership skills developed through this course enable graduates to impact teaching and learning in a variety of contexts.
