The GRE or the Graduate Record Examinations is a globally recognized, computer based aptitude test administered by Education Testing Service (ETS) and Prometric worldwide. It is part of the selection criteria for graduate schools as well as many business schools in the US as well as other countries. It comprises of three sections which are Analytical writing, Verbal and Quantitative. The Analytical Writing section is graded on a scale of 0-6 while the Verbal and Quantitative sections are each graded on a scale of 130-170. The total score in the latter two sections are out of 340.
