This workshop will focus on how to create luminous landscapes while enjoying impressionistic painting techniques in watercolor. The gorgeous morning light in this scene envelopes and surrounds the various shapes which we will capture using exciting brush techniques. I will demonstrate how to combine photos to strengthen a composition and add creativity in the planning stage of the painting. We will be exploring a variety of techniques in watercolor and gain experience in handling the numerous textural aspects in painting a landscape. Since the class is interactive, you will be able to ask questions directly to Betty, show your work through your computer to get personal feedback and you will also be able to see everyone else’s work.
