The companies owned by the government are known in India as Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), Public Sector Banks (PSBs), or State Level Public Enterprises (SLPEs) can be listed as PSUs. Public sector undertakings (PSUs) or CPSEs are divided mainly into Category I & II Maharatna, Navratna, Miniratna on the basis of their financial results, net assets, profits, benefit, etc.
