The National Testing Agency has been set up by the central government to administer admission/fellowship entrance exams at higher education institutions. NTA's responsibility is limited to administering the NEET (UG) entrance examination, announcing the outcome, and providing All India Rank with 15 percent advice to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
