The GATE is an Indian Institute of Science (IISc) nationwide examination held in Bangalore in conjunction with seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee). It takes place every year in February. For admission to Masters programs and straight Doctorate programmes, the IITs, and other renowned Indian institutions/universities as well as financial assistance in the Engineering/Technology/Architecture program is necessary. Many public sector organizations (PSUs) use the GATE score to recruit people with high compensation packages for their coveted jobs. Among PSUs that use GATE results to fill posts are BARC, BHEL, IOCL, HPCL, NTPC, Powergrid, NHPC, and others.
A minimum of 10+2+4 (ongoing) to 10+2+3 (ongoing), GATE-2022, have been eligible criteria that enable applicants to attend the exam in their third year of graduate studies, offering them more opportunities to improve their performance and provide improved career possibilities.
