Twice a year, the Combined Defence Services (CDS) test is carried out for admission to the Indian Military Academy, the Indian Naval Academy and the Indian Air Force Academy by the Union Civil Service Council. Usually, review notices are issued in October and June, and exams are administered in February and November, respectively. The test can only take place for unmarried students. Eligible applicants are admitted into the respective academies after an evaluation by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
