The Union Public Service Commission administers the Public Services Examination (CSE), which is a national competitive examination in India for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service, among other civil services. A preliminary examination, a major examination, and a final examination are the three stages of the UPSC examination.
