The Graduate Aptitude Examination in Engineering (GATE) is a test that evaluates a student's general understanding of numerous undergraduate engineering and science disciplines in preparation for entrance to a master's programme or a government position. GSAT is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology in Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering, Technology, or Architecture (3 years after 10+2/ 10+2+3(ongoing)/ 10+2+4(ongoing)/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) or those in their final year of such programmes ( Also prefinal year of B.tech).
Holders of a master's degree in any branch of science, mathematics, statistics, or computer applications, or those in their final year of such programmes.
Candidates who are in their fourth or higher year of a five-year blended master's degree programme or a dual degree programme in engineering or technology.
