Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] [Computer Science] From University of Goettingen

Academic Eligibility:

• To get a PCS admission, a master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, telecommunication engineering, communication engineering or an equivalent research direction is required. Normally, achievements in the following areas with the minimum amount of 120 ECTS credit points have to be proven by transcript:
  • Practical Computer Science
    (especially operating systems, distributed systems, software technology, databases and information systems, telematics)
  • Theoretical Computer Science
    (especially algorithms, logic design theory, complexity theory, coding and cryptology, formal logic and semantics, computer algebra, artificial intelligence)
  • Technical Computer Science
    (in particular expertise in the field of hardware)

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Language requirements: Demonstration of sufficient English language skills by earning the minimum required grade on an internationally recognized test.
• As a rule, the last test must have been taken no more than two years prior to submission of the application for admission to this degree program (date received).

International students hailing from non-English speaking countries can prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
