As part of the English-language course, Catalysis for Sustainable Synthesis (CaSuS), the doctoral students research in nine research groups of the Göttingen Faculty of Chemistry and five research groups of the TU Braunschweig on interdisciplinary projects in the field of catalytic chemistry. The topics of the research projects range from the design of new molecular catalysts and the elucidation of basic reaction mechanisms to the synthesis of polymers and natural products with a focus on industrial application. Many of the projects require close interdisciplinary collaboration between individual research groups. The intensive support and critical discussion of the results at joint events enable rapid progress in the work.

The semester fees comprise administration fees, student body fees, and a Student union fee. The summer semester fee totals $476.54 for 2021. While the Winter semester fee totals $470.43 for 2021. So the yearly fee for attending this program is $946.97.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Successful completion of a relevant subject in consecutive master’s degree with a standard period of at least one year and a total study duration of at least four years, the relevant course of study with a standard period of study of at least eight semesters or proof of an equivalent degree from one German university or a university that is one of the Bologna signatory states listened to.
- The relevance of the preparatory course is the evidence of achievements in chemistry to the extent of at least 78 credit points.
- The determination of the technical relevance is excluded if the Scope of the services, which have not yet been provided, more than 18 credit points
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Language requirements: Demonstration of sufficient English language skills by earning the minimum required grade on an internationally recognized test.
- As a rule, the last test must have been taken no more than two years prior to submission of the application for admission to this degree program (date received).
International students hailing from non-English speaking countries can prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
