However, in some cases, M.Tech students are considered, like in research and development-oriented jobs. However, most industries prefer B.Tech over M.Tech.  After pursuing M.Tech your area gets narrower due to which the situation becomes very tricky for both the employers and the candidates applying for. As far as all the colleges are concerned the placement statistics are not so good for M.Tech students.
