Ph.D. From DIPSAR, New Delhi

Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research invites candidates for their various research programs offered in Ph.D. courses. The research programs require the candidates to hold a Master’s Degree as the basic requirement. Admission in DIPSAR is based on a screening test which is followed by an interview.

The admission is granted on the candidate’s performance in the screening test and interview, along with his/her academic credentials. Preference will be given to candidates who have had at least one research publication with a journal of repute; or those candidates who have been awarded fellowship from any recognized funding agency. Read More: DIPSAR Admission

Eligibility

• The candidates must have a First Class Master’s Degree in any field of pharmaceutical or biomedical sciences recognized by UGC/AICTE like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have had at least one research publication with a journal of repute; or those candidates who have been awarded fellowship from any recognized funding agency.
• The Ph.D. candidates may also be used as a teacher for undergraduate students.

Selection Process

1. The selection is based on a screening test, followed by an interview.
2. A list of shortlisted candidates for the interview will be made.
3. After the interview, the selected candidates can complete their final admission formalities.

Course Details

Course Name: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Annual Fee: Rs. 2,000/-

Seats: At present, there are 13 seats for Ph.D. courses available in DIPSAR. Besides these, there are 3 seats reserved for AICTE sponsored candidates.
The Govt. of Delhi has introduced 10 seats who get a stipend of Rs. 9,100/- per month.
Ph.D. is offered in various disciplines of Pharmacy under Delhi University.

Hostel

The institute has a total of six well-furnished hostel accommodations, two for boys and two for girls. Presently the hostel is available only for outside Delhi students. In the future, the institute plans to accommodate almost 50% of the total candidates in the hostel.

Application Process

The last date for the submission of application forms is July (Tentative) for Ph.D. courses. There is no need for application form. The candidates need to submit their application on a plain paper and submit it to DIPSAR office in Phushp Vihar by the person or by post. 

Candidates can follow the admission process tabulated below: 

1. There will be no application forms for Ph.D. candidates.
2. The candidates can obtain a prospectus from DIPSAR office by paying Rs. 1,000/-.
3. They need to submit their application on plain paper along with their bio-data (with the attested photograph).
4. The candidates also have to attach a brief summary (200 words) about their research interest, experience, etc. along with Xerox of testimonials.
5. The above must be accompanied with a Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (application fee) in favor of “The Director, DIPSAR” payable at Delhi.
