Eligibility for M.Tech in Thermal Engineering
Candidates having qualified 10+2 from a recognized educational Board with Physics, Chemistry & Math as main subjects and a Bachelor’s degree (B.E./ B. Tech) in any of Mechanical, Automobile, and Aeronautical engineering, or equivalent discipline, with a minimum aggregate score of 55% are eligible to apply for the course. This percentage criterion, however, may vary across institutes.
M.Tech in Thermal Engineering: Admission Process
Eligible students upon clearing the 10+2 qualification in Physics, Chemistry and Maths with the minimum eligible score, are needed to qualify a relevant national- level entrance exam such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced or other State- level exams. Based on performance in such tests, and in rounds of group discussion and personal interview, students are admitted to the course.
Upon clearing the JEE Advanced, students are admitted to IITs and upon clearing the JEE Main exam, they are admitted to other State- level engineering colleges. The exam pattern of almost all the entrance exams held for admission to engineering colleges is similar, with the 3 main sections included, viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
