- The professional Master of Science (Applied) in Physical Therapy is a 63-credit degree program that includes one thousand hours of fieldwork education over 5 semesters.
- The educational approach is consistent with adult learning, inspiring self-directed learning and case-based studies of individuals across the lifespan.
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing is a key skill required to succeed in both the professional Master's program and as a Physical Therapist.
- In addition to fieldwork, course work will focus on client-centered and evidence-based practice in the three core areas of Physical Therapy practice: orthopedics, neurology, and cardiorespiratory areas. Courses also cover professionalism, advanced clinical practice, research methodology, and health management and education.
- The master's project is designed to develop research skills and scholarly appreciation of rehabilitation practice and research, management/health care delivery, and clinical education.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation (OT or PT).
- The degree must be completed before the start of the QY with McGill equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.2 (B/B+) in the bachelor's degree only.
- Any one of the following:
- Diploma in French language proficiency (DALF)
- Diplôme Studies in French (DELF)
- McGill Certificate of Proficiency in French for Professional Communication Admission Requirements
- McGill Certificate of Proficiency in French (SCS)
- Other equivalents.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a degree in PT from a university outside Canada that has been assessed and recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion du Québec or from institutions with a NAAC rating of “A”.
- The university degree, described above, must have been completed with a minimum standing of 3.3/4.0 or the equivalent, according to the grading scale on the transcript.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Followings are the required documents:
- Unofficial Transcripts: Students need to submit a copy of their original transcripts.
- Statement of Interest (video): Statement of interest is one of the few ways to describe that faculty have to understand the student's motivation, the seriousness of purpose, and their level of commitment to the discipline; A video (2 minutes or less) in which you explain your decision to apply to the QY for McGill’s MScA-PT program.
- Two Reference Letter: Students will choose letter writers who will be able to comment on their academic record and other experiences or relevant skill sets.
- CV/Resume: including a summary of your academic background, professional experience, and other relevant activities (e.g., community involvement, volunteer work, etc.).
- Nursing Prerequisite Form: in order to assess if you have met the minimum requirements, complete the Qualifying Year Prerequisite Assessment Table (the document will be available in the coming weeks) and upload it, along with course descriptions, as one document in PDF format.

- Interview with the Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Equivalency in Physical Therapy (ACEPT) or its delegate.

- public sector (hospitals, community centres, CLSCs, rehabilitation centres, specialized schools), and
- 50% work in the private sector (350 Private clinics exist in Quebec).
