The graduates will be well prepared to further their education in graduate or professional schools or to pursue a variety of careers in biological, chemical, pharmaceutical, or marine sciences.
The Biology program curriculum is designed for students who plan to attend graduate school and for students who wish to prepare for admission to a school of medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, osteopathy, podiatry, veterinary medicine, or chiropractic, as well as those not planning to take an advanced degree in biology.
Biology major offers excellent general preparation for a variety of careers, as well as for advanced graduate or medical degrees.
A student’s curriculum can be designed, in conjunction with an advisor, to meet specific goals such as pre-professional or advanced degree preparation.
A minimum of 20 credits must be taken in biological sciences. A maximum of 6 credits may be transferred from another institution with the permission of the school director if these credits are not part of an existing master’s degree.
The MSc program consists of 32 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
A GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required to be eligible for the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
