Dalhousie University offers a Bachelor of Science in Statistics for a duration of 4 years.
It is an on-campus, co-op program offered on a full-time basis.
Statistics is the science of structuring, explaining, and processing data into an understandable form.
Students will have opportunities to work on special projects and write code that can run powerful statistical software right from their laptop.
The faculty teaches students how to apply data to research and provide students with real-world experience through participation in faculty research projects.
The undergraduate courses are accredited by the Statistics Society of Canada, which means students can receive an Associate Statistician designation.
First-year will begin by taking introductory calculus and statistics courses.
At the advanced level i.e. the fourth-year courses consist of graduate courses so that students can study alongside the graduate students.
Students in the statistics program also have the opportunity to participate in the co-op education program.

The Mathematics and Statistics department offers a wide range of Mathematics and Statistics programs with opportunities for research and to gain practical, hands-on co-op work experience.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have completed their academic English 12 and Pre-calculus Math 12 courses with a minimum overall average of 75%.
Students also have to complete three additional academic subjects.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:

All-India Senior School Certificate (CBSE)
Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
Indian School Certificate (CISCE)
Or, another Senior Secondary School Certificate awarded after standard XII

Online application form and fees: Students have to fill the online form and submit the application fees.
