The UFV Bachelor of Science degree is a program of academic study for students pursuing education or career goals in the natural sciences, and currently offers students the option of pursuing a major in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physical geography, or physics, or any two minors selected from biology, computing science, chemistry, mathematics and statistics, physical geography, and physics. Honours Physics and Physical Geography are also offered. Additionally, any science major can be combined with an Arts, Business Administration, or Kinesiology minor.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the requirements for this program:
- High school graduation (equivalent to Canadian grade 12 graduation).
- 9 approved university credits with a min. 2.0 GPA; one of Principles of Math 12 (min. B), Pre-Calculus 12 (min B), MATH 094/095/096 (min. B), MATH 110 (min. C+), or MATH 111 (min. C); min. C+ in one of grade 12 Biology, BIO 093, BIO 111, grade 12 Chemistry, CHEM 093, CHEM 110, CHEM 113, grade 12 Geography, GEOG 101, GEOG 102, GEOG 103, grade 12 geology, GEOG 116, grade 12 Physics, PHYS 093, PHYS 100, PHYS 101, PHYS 105, or PHYS 111.
