Course Curriculum

9

I am doing a thesis-based program so research is a very integral part. Overall course is very good for a person who has future goals to be in the research field.

Exams

CV is needed for application, also have to talk with the supervisor beforehand, and find a supervisor who is willing to hire as this is to be mentioned on the admission application. The interview was just with possible supervisors. They asked about my perspective and expectations from the program, future goals, past experiences just to find out if I am a good fit for their lab.

Placement

8

There are many past alumni from my university who have contributed a lot in the research field, noble Prize in physics 2019 was won by the University of Manitoba alumnus, many alumni have made it to the Canadian hall of fame like dr. Henry Friesen, dr Niranjan Dhalla, and many more.

Events

Winnipeg is not a very expensive city to live in as compared to other cities in Canada. Getting PR is also easy in Manitoba province. Nightlife is kinda quiet though.

Fees

3000$/ semester for domestic student, 6000$/semester for international student.

Scholarship

University of Manitoba graduate fellowship which is 14000$/year.

Faculty

9

The faculty is very friendly and easily approachable. We are two students under one supervisor at this time, at max it could be 4-5 students per supervisor which is an excellent ratio.

Hostel
