It has a pathway program so I had the option of doing my first year in India at Xplora design school and then submit the portfolio here in red river college and apply for the second year which you get automatically selected and apply for the visa and come here for the second year.

Course Curriculum

8

The course is good as it has 3 options for major with some common subjects so students can choose their own field of what they like and also it has an internship at the end of the course which helps for your industry experience and show your skill set.

Exams

English exam (IELTS) is compulsory to come to Canada so I took IELTS with Listening, reading, writing and reading the score is 7,6,6.5,6.5.

Placement

7

Placements and job opportunities are good.. we have a speed mentoring thing in our college wherein some industry people will come to talk to us and we can showcase our portfolio and skill set which helps them understand what kind of work we can do.

Internship

Yes, it does. The internship experience is always nice as you learn things practically and you know how the professional world works. At our college internship is without stipend which is not good but we go out there to work and learn so it's good.

Events

4

We had so many events happening at our college: one of them is welcome to party, that's as soon as we join the college which helps meet other students of the course and you can get along so there is no awkwardness, other than that we have film screening about different educational topics also open house.

Fees

Fees for us international students is way higher than domestic students which were $7500 dollars per semester and then $900 dollars for health insurance. Plus other charges for the bus pass, stationery, print, and lunches when we have any event.

Scholarship

No, I haven't because I didn't find any information regarding that on the college website or off campus.

Examination Structure

We don't have exams in our course but we have to make a portfolio to showcase our work which is good and so we get ready to apply as soon as we are out of the college and that helps us to get the job faster.

Faculty

7

Faculties are really good with their own field, gives insight on how professionally things work also helps with the learning process if you are stuck somewhere.

Hostel

8

I was initially staying with a family as a paying guest then I had few friends wanting to share the apartment so we rented out a flat and we are sharing it so it becomes easy on the pocket and it's fun to stay with friends.
