It is one of the best trade schools in the country with a high employment rate and the program I have been interested in has been offered in very few colleges across country and NSCC is one of those. It has very reasonable tuition fees. The admission process is quite straightforward and the faculty is very good. My friends, who graduated from this college recommended this and I had a great experience so far and hope to graduate with honours.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum has been made very precisely and accordingly. It covers and helps to establish all the skills need to enter into the industry as an apprentice and learn as you go.
Exams
To get admission into this program, I required grade 12 mathematics and physics. As we live in modern society with automation coming into play, instrumentation has a vital role in that industry. It requires good troubleshooting skills and one has to work on a variety of machinery.
Internship
Yes, college does offer internship and campus jobs. One got to apply it online when the jobs are posted on the college site. People who did them before having a positive experience. The jobs are great to say to learn nee things and acquire social skills.
Fees
The application costs $75. I paid $11,020 as the tuition fee for my program. There are other charges also that includes International student fee, No-refundable tuition deposit cost, College service fee, student association fee, Nova Scotia health card charges, Health and dental plan, and a metro Transit U-Pass.
Examination Structure
There is a weekly quiz. I'm in a trade program so we have labs and a lot of practical work. Also, have a couple of tests every month.
Faculty
The faculty is very student-friendly and it's 1:1 and they try their best to help us and make sure we learn new things every day. They encourage students and try their best to help.
