Course Curriculum
I think it's doable but it's interesting content which keeps you motivated. I do like the psychology curriculum a lot as it's something that sparks interest in me and allows me to explore more about the different kinds of people we have among us.
Exams
None was required. Admission was based on marks only. It only asked for university level English and Math.
Placement
I have heard they are quite rewarding and well suited to individual needs but sometimes they don't pull through and there are some unnecessary positions that have to accept as a last resort. It seems to based on luck a bit
Internship
They do but I have not considered one yet as I am only in first year and do not know if I will apply for co-op programs yet. But I have heard of opportunities with well known hospitals, tech companies and even firms.
Events
We celebrate many events starting from Christmas to Holi and even Chinese New Year. We maintain a diverse cultural community and it's great. Personally, I enjoyed Diwali a lot as we had great food and music
Fees
Fees where for classes and the labs and then a gym that we have as a uni. I would say the lab fees are pretty high considering we had to buy our lab coats and glasses separately.
Scholarship
I have not yet started the process as we have OSAP which helps with funding but I do work a job that allows me to pay for textbooks and such
Examination Structure
Mostly mutiple choice questions but the philosophy courses require essays and short answers. The exam timing can be better as sometimes midterms run to the end of March and finals are in April so that's a bit messy
Faculty
My faculty is very strict on grades and I wished that they weren't so adamant on always maintaining a 60 or lower avg per class as it affects my GPA a lot.
Hostel
I live off campus with my family so there are perks but sometimes it a little difficult as they can be strict about timing and curfew. It can also be difficult to be productive at home when I feel like sleeping all the time
