Liked the college and liked the environment we were offered initially. The school is still good but it is quite hard to find social people and people willing to be a helping hand to you or to others. Academics is a big thing for a lot of people which is fair and completely understood but it is not fair to be shut out by the student population when you can have more interactions.

Course Curriculum

7

I think there should be modifications to exams and testing. The value and amount of your knowledge should not be dependent on how high you score on an exam or any form of examination. True examinations are observing and evaluating through presentations, question and answer periods, and essays, not all about filling in a scantron.

Exams

None from America, all the exams I have taken are from a Canadian institution which does not do the same type of tests as America.

Placement

7

The placements are all found by the students. The student needs to apply for their own placements and find them. The school provides assistance in how to properly craft a resume and interview skills but not so much on actually getting the job. There are job opportunities too but it is limited to the younger pool of students due to experience and requirements.

Internship

They might, but I am currently unaware of them because I do not know much about the layout and structure of the campus in terms of what they provide for the students who are in the various programs. Then internships are offered I think we have some with the trades but I am not totally sure because I have yet to venture out and discover those new things that are available for students.

Events

5

There are many cultural events and social events hosted at the school. With these events though comes some form of separation. Within any school there is a fair share of student association disagreementswhich may occur.

Fees

The tuition rate was quite high for domestic students. As well, the process of getting your money back when you drop a course is not applicable for another term which is very disappointing.

Scholarship

Yes I have achieved scholarships based on my academic standings prior to entering university. As of now I am trying to maintain a fair GPA to have a renewed scholarship that I can use for my benefit for the next semester of school.

Examination Structure

Most exams for fairly large classes prepare their tests in a multiple choice manner. They do this to ensure that they are marked quickly for over 500 students. Usually, with multiple choice, you don't have the best chance because you either got it or you don't.

Faculty

7

The faculty of my college do their best to try and make their marking scheme fair for the students in that major. By doing this they allow for time in between exams and they offer multiple exams to ensure more chances of obtaining higher marks.

Hostel

4

I am not on residence therefore this question is not applicable to me. But with the accommodation I have now I can say it is quite the commute to my campus and as well it is time consuming to travel where I would spend two to three hours in school but 2 more hours having to commute.
